Every product sold at Krafted Market carries a story, your story, and we are honored to provide a platform that helps you share it.

As a vendor, you play a vital role in shaping the atmosphere and success of each event. Your innovation, professionalism, and commitment to handmade artistry are what make Krafted Market a destination for shoppers who value quality, authenticity, and unique creations. This handbook outlines policies, procedures, expectations, and resources to help ensure a smooth, professional, and rewarding vendor experience.

Vendor Community Standards

All vendors are expected to uphold a respectful, professional, family – friendly environment.

This includes:

  • Treating all attendees, staff, and fellow vendors with courtesy and respect.
  • Maintaining professionalism in all communications — including emails, social media, and event interactions.
  • Displaying only approved handmade items that align with Krafted Market’s quality standards.
  • Following all safety guidelines, venue rules, and market policies.
  • Representing your business with integrity and fairness.

Failure to follow setup/breakdown rules may affect future participation.

Event Overview

Types of Events:

Indoor Seasonal Markets

Hosted in community centers, halls, or event spaces featuring climate control, curated layouts, and themed décor.

Outdoor Pop-Up Markets

Held in public parks, plazas, or outdoor venues; ideal for large crowds and seasonal festivities.

Holiday & Theme Markets

Examples include Valentine’s Market, Harvest Fest, Winter Market, Small Business Saturday, etc.

Youth Maker Events ("Mini Makers")

Designed to empower young entrepreneurs ages 7–17. Participants must still sell handmade or personally designed goods.

Event Information Delivery

Upon acceptance to an event, vendors receive:

 

  •  Event address & layout map
  • Load-in instructions
  • Parking details
  • Booth assignment
  • Contact information for event-day staff
  • Promotional graphics for social sharing

Vendor Eligibility

Krafted Market prioritizes handmade artistry, creativity, and original work.

Eligible Vendor Categories

  • Handmade artisans (jewelry, candles, soaps, pottery, woodwork, leather goods, etc.)
  • Artists, illustrators, and designers
  • Crafters and makers working in textiles, paper, metal, or mixed media
  • Small-batch creators (baked goods, jams, spices, skincare, etc.)
  • Specialty food vendors with proper certifications and permits
  • Youth vendors with parental supervision

Not Eligible

  • MLM/direct sales representatives (e.g., Scentsy, Color Street, Mary Kay)
  • Mass-produced, imported, or factory-made items
  • Dropshipping or print-on-demand without original handmade elements
  • Reselling of purchased wholesale items
  • Unlicensed fan art or copyrighted work without permissions

Application Process

1. Submit Vendor Application

Applications must include high-quality product photos, business social media or website links, and a description of your work.

2. Review & Jury Process (3–7 business days)

Our team evaluates applications based on craftsmanship, originality, product fit, and event balance (to prevent oversaturation of categories).

3. Acceptance Email

Accepted vendors receive an official confirmation along with a payment link and event details.

4. Payment to Secure Placement

Booth fees must be paid by the specified deadline. Unpaid spots will be offered to waitlisted vendors.

5. Waitlist Notifications

Waitlisted vendors may be contacted if a space becomes available.

Vendor Fees & Payment Policies

Event Information Delivery

  • 6×6 ft — $45–$75
  • 8×8 ft — $60–$90
  • 10×10 ft — $75–$125
  • Premium corner or high-traffic booths may incur an additional charge.

Payment Policies

  • All payments are non-refundable unless Krafted Market cancels the event.
  • Late payments may result in forfeiture of booth reservation.
  • Vendors are responsible for processing their own refunds or order issues with customers.
  • Chargebacks or disputed fees may lead to removal from future events.

Booth Assignments & Layout

  • Booth assignments are predetermined to optimize customer flow and vendor variety.
  • Requests for specific booths will be considered but cannot be guaranteed.
  • Vendors must stay fully within their assigned space. Encroachment into aisles or neighboring booths is not permitted.
  • Display racks must remain stable and safe.
  • Event staff may make last-minute adjustments to layout for safety or logistics.

Setup & Breakdown Procedures

Setup Instructions

  • Arrive during your assigned load-in window.
  • Unload your vehicle swiftly, then move your car immediately to the designated vendor parking area before beginning booth setup.
  • Vendors must complete setup before the market opens to the public.
  • All aisles must remain clear at all times.

Breakdown Instructions

  • Early teardown is prohibited; vendors must stay until the event officially ends.
  • Breakdown must be conducted safely and orderly.
  • Leave your booth area clean and free of trash or debris.
  • Do not block aisles or exits during load-out.

Failure to follow setup/breakdown rules may affect future participation.

Booth Display Guidelines

A well-designed booth greatly improves customer experience and sales.

Vendor Responsibility to Provide:

  • Tables, chairs, shelves, risers, or racks
  • Tablecloths that reach the floor (no bare tabletops)
  • Professional signage with business name clearly displayed
  • Outdoor tents/canopies (where required)
  • Mandatory tent weights (minimum 20–30 lbs per leg)
  • Lighting (battery-operated unless electrical access was requested)
  • Price tags or menu boards

Booth Expectations

  • Displays must be neat, stable, and visually appealing.
  • Products should be presented in a way that reflects their handmade quality.
  • Vendors should keep the booth staffed at all times.
  • Storage bins should be hidden from view whenever possible.

Product Rules & Requirements

Approved products include:

  • Handmade goods created by the applicant
  • Original artwork or designs
  • Small-batch edible items compliant with local food laws
  • Custom-made or personalized items
  • Products listed on the application (additional items require approval)

Not allowed:

  • Weapons, knives, or hazardous items
  • Illegal or prohibited merchandise
  • Copyright-infringing goods (Disney, Marvel, sports logos, etc.)
  • Items unrelated to your application category
  • Offensive or discriminatory content

Food Vendor Requirements

Food vendors must comply with all local, county, and state food safety regulations.

Requirements:

 

  • Valid food handler permits or cottage food licenses
  • Proof of compliance with health department regulations
  • Proper labeling (ingredients, allergens, contact info, etc.)
  • Secure packaging and sanitary booth setup
  • Access to handwashing supplies when needed

 

Failure to follow food safety policies may result in removal from the event.

Insurance & Safety Policies

Some venues may require vendors to maintain general liability insurance. Vendors will be notified when insurance is required.

Safety Expectations:

 

  • Tents MUST be weighted—no exceptions.
  • All cords must be taped down or safely concealed.
  • Open flames must be explicitly approved.
  • Hazardous materials are prohibited.
  • Vendor spaces must remain safe for both visitors and staff.

 

Krafted Market is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged property.

Weather Policies

Outdoor markets operate rain or shine unless unsafe conditions arise.

Krafted Market may cancel or delay events due to:

 

  • Lightning
  • High winds (typically 25+ mph)
  • Severe storms
  • Hazardous temperatures
  • Government or venue-mandated closures

 

Refunds or rescheduled dates will be communicated if Krafted Market initiates cancellation.

Conduct & Professional Expectations

Vendors are expected to:

  • Maintain a welcoming and positive attitude.
  • Treat fellow vendors as partners, not competitors.
  • Refrain from loud, disruptive, or inappropriate behavior.
  • Keep disagreements private—never confront customers or vendors publicly.
  • Use respectful communication in all emails and messaging.

 

Violations may result in immediate removal without refund and possible ban from future events.

Marketing & Promotion

Krafted Market markets events through:

  • Social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok)
  • Digital + print flyers
  • Email newsletters
  • Community partnerships
  • Paid advertising (as appropriate)

Vendor Marketing Expectations

Vendors are strongly encouraged to:

  • Share event graphics on social media
  • Tag @KraftedMarket
  • Promote exclusive items or specials for the event
  • Engage with other vendor posts to build community reach

Collaborative marketing increases event visibility and sales potential.

Sales, Payments & Taxes

Vendors are responsible for:

  • Their own payment processing (Square, PayPal, Venmo, cash, etc.)
  • Handling returns, customer service, and exchange policies
  • Tracking and reporting sales tax according to state laws
  • Bringing adequate change for cash transactions

 

Krafted Market does not handle vendor payments or taxes.

Cancellations, Refunds & No-shows

Vendor Cancellations

  • All vendor fees are non-refundable.
  • Cancellations must be communicated as early as possible.

No-Shows

  • Vendors who fail to attend an event without notice may be removed from future eligibility.
  • Repeat no-shows automatically result in disqualification.

Event Cancellations

If Krafted Market cancels an event:

  • Vendors will receive either a refund or transfer credit, depending on venue policies.
